Postpartum Oils, Salves, Tinctures, Syrups, and Ghees course covers the step by step procedures involved in preparing various medicated Oils, Salves, Tinctures, Syrups and Ghees which are essential for Ayurvedic Postpartum support. Multiple recipes are shared and created for the treatment and prevention of any imbalances that may arise during the postpartum window. When to administer each medicated product will be described in detail so that the Ayurvedic Doula has a basic understanding of when to utilize these creations in their practice. The Ayurvedic pharmacology and property of each ingredient will also be listed and described thoroughly throughout this class.
A few examples of finished products include; Abhyanga Oil, Shirobasti Oil, Massage Balm, Shatavari Ghee, and various Tincture formulas. Upon completion of this course, the Ayurvedic Doula will possess the skills to recreate each formula on their own, and know how to adapt these methods of preparation using their own knowledge and discernment to offer their own Doula services.
