Military Benefits

Supporting Military Service Members and Their Families with VA Education Benefits

We are proud to be an approved institution for VA education benefits, offering military service members, veterans, and their families the opportunity to use their GI Bill® benefits toward our Ayurvedic Practitioner and Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner programs. Our programs are designed with your needs in mind, providing VA-approved education paths that align with your career and personal goals.

Both programs meet the VA’s full-time hourly requirement, with a commitment of 22 hours per week for full-time enrollment, ensuring that you can maximize your benefits while advancing your education.

Understanding Your VA Education Benefits:

There are several types of VA benefits available, and each program has specific requirements. Please reference the information provided in the drop-down panels below to learn more.

Only the Department of Veterans Affairs can determine your eligibility for VA education benefits. If you are unsure which program applies to you, compare benefits through the VA website or call the GI Bill® helpline at (888) 442-4551.

Post-9/11 GI Bill® & Fry Scholarship (Ch. 33)

Post-9/11 GI Bill®

The Post-9/11 GI Bill® is an education benefit for members of the armed forces who served on active duty after Sept. 10, 2001.

Ch. 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill® (Active Duty)

Chapter 33 provides up to 36 months of full-time attendance for 15 years following release from active duty. Available assistance may vary depending on the length of active duty.

Under this program, tuition funds will be sent directly to Ayurved Sadhana Vidyalaya on a service member’s behalf. Service members might also qualify for assistance with housing, books and academic supplies.

Fry Scholarship

The Fry Scholarship provides education benefits to the surviving dependents (spouses and children) of service members who died in the line of duty after September 10, 2001. It offers similar benefits to the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, including coverage for tuition and fees, a monthly housing allowance, and a stipend for books and supplies.

Transferring the Post-9/11 GI Bill® to a dependent

The Post-9/11 GI Bill® allows active duty service members to transfer unused education benefits to a spouse or dependent child. The service member must have at least six years of service, and commit to an additional four years of service in order to transfer benefits. The transferability policy is determined by the Department of Defense.

To submit a transfer of educational benefits request, use the Common Access Card (CAC) or Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) pin to log on to the DoD Transferability of Education Benefits page. Follow the instructions provided.

Montgomery GI Bill® (Ch. 30)

The Montgomery GI Bill® provides education benefits to members of the armed forces who have at least two years of active duty.

For questions about eligibility, call the GI Bill® helpline at (888) 442-4551. Learn more at: https://www.va.gov/education/about-gi-bill-benefits/montgomery-active-duty/

Ch. 30 Montgomery GI Bill® (active duty)

Chapter 30 provides up to 36 months of education assistance based on length of active duty service, up to 10 years following release from active duty. The VA pays the benefit in monthly installments, directly to the recipient.

Ch. 1606 Montgomery GI Bill® (selected reserves)

The Montgomery GI Bill® Selected Reserve Program may be available if you are a member of the Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Coast Guard Reserve, Army National Guard or Air National Guard.

Service members may be entitled to up to 36 months of education benefits. Benefit entitlement ends 10 years from the date of eligibility for the program, or on the day a service member leaves the selected reserve.

The program offers up to 45 months of education benefits.

Veteran Readiness & Employment (formerly called Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment) (Ch. 31)

Chapter 31, the Veteran Readiness and Employment program (VR&E), was established for service members and veterans with service-connected physical or mental disabilities.

This program can prepare students for a suitable job, help them get and keep jobs, and assist them in becoming fully productive and independent. Services provided by the VA (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs) include education and training, financial assistance, career planning and job placement.
