Madhav Nidan: Advanced Analytical Criteria for Ailments

Madhav Nidan is an advanced and extensive course which covers the proper detection and diagnosis of disorders. Madhav Nidan also provides the appropriate measures to correct those disorders with Chikitsa (Treatment). Furthermore, Madhav Nidan deals exclusively with diagnostic criteria of diseases based on Ayurvedic principles. This work is the literal translation of the Sanskrit discourse on Pathology. Additionally, students will explore the five ways of Diagnosis; Etiology, Premonitory symptoms, Clinical features, Diagnostic tests, and the Pathogenesis of multiple diseases described in Ayurveda. The diseases listed in Madhav Nidan include but are not limited to Fever, Diseases affecting the GI tract, Alcoholism, Eating Disorders, Parasitic Infections, Diseases of the Nervous System, Diabetes, Anemia, and much more.
