Ayurvedic Pathology: Dhatu and Shrotansi

Ayurvedic Pathology: Dhatus & Srotamsi dives into an advanced breakdown of the anatomy, physiology, and pathological wisdom that traditional Ayurveda possesses. Each Dhatu (tissue) is described in detail from; Rasa, Rakta, Mamsa, Meda, Asthi, Majja, and Shukra. Furthermore, how the three doshas manifest within each particular Dhatu in the form of diseases is laid out and explained in Ayurvedic Pathology. Imbalances and diseases are presented with both Allopathic and Ayurvedic understanding so the student is able to fully grasp the concept of dosha manifestation within their own client’s.

This course is imperative for the comprehension of all Ayurvedic pathologies because it breaks down the relationship between all the bodily systems such as the; Digestive system, Respiratory system, and Nervous system for example. These systems or pathways are called Srotamsi in Ayurvedic medicine. The student will learn the definition and anatomy of each srotamsi mentioned from our vedic acharyas. Moreover, the prominent diseases that affect these pathways, and how to create a simple treatment plan will also be studied by the student practitioner. Other concepts to be enumerated in Ayurvedic Pathology: Dhatus & Strotamsi include, but are not limited to; organ functions, cardiac cycles, mental factors, and the theories surrounding Prana, Tejas, and Ojas. Overall, this course covers the ideas of Ayurvedic etiology, pathology, and symptomatology so the Ayurvedic practitioner feels confident in their ability to realize the root and functioning of imbalance in their client’s.
