Calendar of Care is a vital class which breaks down the day to day care to be done by the Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula within the commended timeline of 40-45 days immediately following the birthing process. The importance and application of this classical Ayurvedic practice is explained in-depth during the course of Calendar of Care. Postpartum anatomy and physiology is also explored and understood from an Ayurvedic perspective. The Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula will be taught core fundamentals of postnatal care which include, but are not limited to; Dietary specifics, Herbal protocols and formulations, Yoni steaming, Contraindications, Daily routine, and Ayurvedic treatments for various postpartum disorders.
Not only will the physicality of the practice be touched upon, but also the metaphysical/spiritual aspect of this sacred science is relayed. Moreover, mantra science and spiritual customs are topics enumerated within Calendar of Care. Overall, a general timeline of treatment in regards to Postpartum care will be outlined and understood so that the Doula may easily utilize the knowledge within their very own model of care.
