The Student Clinic through the Ayurvedic Internship – Externship, is a chance for our Ayurvedic practitioner students to experience and observe one on one interactions between Senior practitioners and clients underneath the guidance of Dr. Bharat Vaidya. Generally, a clinic lasts 2-3 days with a total of 20-30 client interactions upon completion. Additionally, students will gain experience asking client’s vital questions surrounding health history and more so they may draw conclusions about client’s Prakruti, Vikruti, Diet and Lifestyle. Furthermore, students will gain direct experience checking the pulse, assessing the tongue and eyes, observing the client’s body language, checking blood pressure, and performing physical palpation on client’s visiting the student clinic. More importantly, students are required to record and keep all client information in an organized manner, so they may use it as a “Client Encounter”. Finally, the cases seen in Student Clinic will be discussed by Dr. Bharat Vaidya and treatment plans will be created and finalized by the class as whole.
