Ayurvedic Gerontology class focuses on the process of aging, as understood by Ayurveda and Western Medicine, the various safe and important uses of Rasayana to maintain health, and treatments for specific diseases of aging. More specifically, Gerontology and Geriatrics includes the study of physical, mental, and social changes in people as they age. In this class important statistics surrounding the elderly population are discussed and examined. Furthermore, specific diseases that affect aging people and the proper diagnosis and treatment per Ayurveda are advised in the class of Ayurvedic Gerontology. This class is for intermediate to advanced Ayurvedic practitioners/students and other health care providers who have at least intermediate background in Ayurveda.
