In Ayurvedic Cooking for Seasons and Doshic Balance, students will learn the theory of seasonal and panchakarma diets, culinary herbs and spices as well as foods and their special preparations. This course is particularly useful in guiding clients through seasonal changes by means of diet and lifestyle enhancement with the use of Ayurveda. The instructor includes stories, forgotten knowledge and insights to deepen even a seasoned Ayurvedic practitioner’s knowledge base.
Some of the topics covered under this course are:
- Theory of seasonal diets as per Ayurveda
- Effects of culinary herbs, spices, foods, and how different dishes are prepared.
- Seasonal guidelines for balancing daily life and for client support.
- Theory and preparation, keys for Panchakarma diets (NOT just khichari!)
In a kitchen setting, students will learn how to cook traditional dishes that are helpful for daily and seasonal balancing. Prepare and enjoy delicious recipes which promote the health and strength of each dosha and increase our digestive capabilities. Ayurvedic Cooking for Seasons & Doshic Balance offers treatment and palliative care for factors affecting our vitality, immunity, and happiness. Learn how certain foods and seasonings are preferred through the changing of the seasons and their influence on our mind and emotions. Students will also learn recipes for the Ayurvedic cleansing approach known as panchakarma.
Traditional Ayurvedic cooking methods and recipes demonstrate how we can care for ourselves, family and clients choosing wisely from the world food sources.
