In more detail, the subject matters lectured include Netra Sharira – Anatomy of Eyes, Netra Karya – Physiology of Eyes, and Netra Pariksha – Examination of Eyes. Moreover, specialized diet and lifestyle is learned by the Ayurvedic student in order to protect, prevent and cure specific eye ailments. Additionally, details surrounding doshic imbalances and disease manifestation according to Ayurveda is thoroughly described in Shalakya Tantra.
